Meeting Minutes – July 2019

American Culinary Federation New Orleans Chapter Agenda

Date: 7/1/2019

  • Call to Order and Welcome Chef Leon West called meeting to order at 4:04.
  • Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all.
  • Culinarians Code – Chef Ruth Varisco, CCE, CEPC read the Culinarians Code.
  • Attendance – Mary Bartholomew, Matt Guillory, Jon Petrie, Mark Springfield, Keile, Emily Johnson, Laura Dirosa, Leon West, Elizabeth Nemeth, Vivian Ray, Greyze Vieins. 
  • Reading and Approval of Minutes – Dispensed with by Ruth, 1st, Vivian, 2nd, Unanimous vote by all.
  • Old Business – Ruth will be presenting information concerning certification every month. Next meeting will focus on the completion of application. She is currently compiling a list of all chefs that are certified and chefs that are working on certification and where they are in the process.
  • Next meeting is scheduled for September 9 since the first Monday is Labor Day.
  • Meeting adjourned at 4:35.

 

***Educational piece: Nora Wetzel gave demonstration of vegetable carving techniques. Chefs were able to participate.
