Chef Ruth Varisco,
MEd, CEPC, CCE

Chef Karl Tipton,
MBA, CEC, CCE, AAC

Assistant Professor in Culinary Arts and Occupations at Elaine P. Nunez Community College. She is the Faculty Advisor for the Culinary Club. And from 1996 to 2000, Chef Ruth was chairperson for ACF Chef and Child Foundation, New Orleans. Among her many notable accomplishments are: Matel, Inc. selected her to create Barbie & Ken's Official 25th Anniversary cake, She is the founder of the Confectionary Artist Guild, Wilton Enterprises named her to the Hall of Fame of Sugar Artists and Instructors and She was selected by her peers to teach at the New College in Durham England.
In 2002 Chef Karl was admitted to the American Academy of Chefs, and the ACF Honor Society. Chef Karl is co-chairman of the by-laws revision committee for the Chapter and an Associate Professor / Lead Instructor in Culinary Arts at Delgado Community College.
