Minutes
President Petrie called the meeting to order at 4:31pm.
Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes of the March meeting were reviewed. Chef T. 1st and Chef Nancy Burback 2nd the acceptance of the minutes as presented.
Chef T. presented the Treasure’s report. Balances in the checking account, Fitzgerald Scholarship account and the General Fund CD account were announced. The general CD account expires 6/13/04. Jon stated that the CD should not be renewed so that the money would not be tied up. Mike – change to a 30-day account. Scholarship money will stay in CD account. Mike 1st /Jan 2nd the treasurer’s report.
Mike – better planning is needed for FQF (French Quarter Festival).
Jon- Damien is compiling a binder. A fee increase was allowed this year that ACFNO did not take advantage. For next year the cake will remain at $4 and the entrée will increase to $5.
Vaughn Schmitt will donate 100 pounds of andouille sausage next year for FQF.
Mike – Comments that were heard was to have either sausage or shrimp, but not both.
Jan- At Crystal Classic have a category to sponsor the idea to have at FQF.
Mike- We need to make sure we attend the FQF meeting.
Motion to adjourn – Jan 1st/ T 2nd.
Margaret Canatella set up and organized the educational portion of the general meeting. Chef Carmen Brazille was the guest chef/ demonstator.
